It was so nice and cool in the cave

Jaffa Square

This was in the Jaffa Square.

Israel is at the center of the world...between the continents of Europe, Africa, and Asia.

This picture is for my Ogilvie family and friends

There are lions all over Jerusalem (the Lion of Judah). This is one of my favorites.
You can see them in all colors and shapes and sizes. It was so hot I could hardly touch this one.

Local Parrots

Dave referred to these in one of his impressions. We recently saw a flock of about 12 across from our apartment. These were in the park near our place. They are camouflaged so well it is hard to see them. Dave always hears them before he sees them.

The Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem

One of the most interesting things at the zoo was the large ark. Inside was a movie theater and gift shop. On the second level there were restrooms and a snack bar with a large seating area. As you looked over the edge you saw the rainbow of flowers pictured above.
As you entered the ark it said, "It is not required that you enter in pairs."

We were allowed to walk right in the area where these lemurs were kept. They hopped on the fence and sat right next to us.

These are called the Shepherds Hills. This is the area David used to herd his sheep.
